Unity Essentials
A free ChatGPT plugin that packages careful Unity engineering workflows for Codex: onboarding, debugging, health checks, and build validation.

Work powerfully in Unity. Unity Essentials packages reusable Unity workflows for Codex. It helps you inspect unfamiliar Unity projects, choose and validate a Unity MCP bridge, implement features, investigate bugs, run health checks, and validate build readiness, while respecting project architecture, serialized assets, testing limits, and Unity Editor safety boundaries.
It is free and listed under Developer Tools in the ChatGPT plugin directory.
Why
AI agents are great at writing code, but a Unity project is more than code. Scenes, prefabs, and ScriptableObjects are serialized data that an agent can easily break, and every project has its own architecture and setup. Unity Essentials makes the agent work the way a careful Unity engineer would: understand the project first, find root causes with evidence, and validate before shipping.
